Twigim (튀김)

튀김 (twigim) is another Korea’s common street food in which you could see its food cart or stand almost every corner in the street. Twigim means “fried” in Korea that is why it is called in English term fried snacks. Mostly, it’s worth around 500 won ~ 1000 won. It is simply the deep-fried crunchy snacks in Korea made of some varieties of vegetables and seafoods including sweet potatoes (고구마 gokuma), peppers (고추gochu), shrimp 새우saeu) and squid (오징어ojingeo). . Twigim is fried in light and crispy batter.
